Lower Moreland High School Senior Completes Senior Project at
Senator Greenleaf’s Office
Weeks before graduating from Lower Moreland High School, Sam
Kenney of Huntington Valley began his senior community service project working
with the constituent services staff and legislative aides at State Senator
Stewart Greenleaf’s district office in Willow Grove.
During the last few weeks of the school year, graduating seniors
of Lower Moreland High School complete a community service project working as
interns for community organizations such as hospitals, schools, and
non-profits. Upon completion, students write about their experiences and what
they have learned.
Kenney plans to attend Muhlenberg College in Allentown in the
fall to study political science. In his free time, he enjoys camping,
computers, politics, and paintball. He is also an Eagle Scout.
"Sam was a great help at my office," said Senator Greenleaf.
"He is a hard worker and terrific young man who I believe will go far. I think
it’s a great opportunity for high school seniors to get out in the community and
learn what community service is all about."
