GREENLEAF NAMED TO AMERICAN LEGISLATIVE EXCHANGE COUNCIL PANEL

HARRISBURG –Rep. Ronald Marsico, Pennsylvania chairman of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), has notified Sen. Stewart J. Greenleaf of his appointment to the ALEC Criminal Justice Task Force.

The purpose of ALEC is the exchange of information among states on issues and laws. The organization gathers lawmakers with experience in specific areas of legislation for service on various task forces.  Greenleaf brings his experience as chairman of the Pennsylvania Senate Judiciary Committee to the ALEC Criminal Justice Task Force.  The panel examines such issues as crime trends, crime prevention, juvenile justice, victim rights, prisons, and criminal courts.

The Criminal Justice Task Force is comprised of lawmakers from across the country with an interest in providing effective criminal justice laws.
