SENATOR GREENLEAF SETS OPEN HOUSE AT NEW DISTRICT OFFICE LOCATION

Sen. Stewart J. Greenleaf, R-Montgomery/Bucks, will be holding an open house event at the new location of his district office in Willow Grove for constituents to meet the senator and staff and familiarize themselves with the services and state-related information available there.

The event will take place on Friday, March 28, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the office at 711 North York Road.  Light refreshments will be available for visitors.

Greenleaf said he has two main reasons for holding an open house.  “First of all, the former district office was located for many years at another North York Road location, and I want people to know that we’ve moved to a larger office with more parking so that we can do an even better job of assisting 12th district citizens.  Secondly, because of the legislative redistricting that took effect several months ago, some citizens in communities new to the 12th district may not know where to go for state services,” Greenleaf explained.  “Hopefully, new constituents will drop by to meet me and the staff and those who have remained in the district will stop by to see the new quarters.”

The district boundaries include Warminster, Warrington, and Upper Southampton in Bucks County, and Horsham, Lower Gwynedd, Montgomery, Upper Dublin, Upper Morealnd, Ambler, Bryn Athyn, Hatboto, Franconia, Hatfield Township, Hatfield Borough, Lower Moreland, Upper Gwynedd, and North Wales in Montgomery County.

The office provides assistance with operator’s licenses and other motor vehicle matters, unemployment and consumer issues, and senior citizen and other state-related concerns.  Application forms and informational pamphlets are available on a range of state-related topics.

“Citizens are welcome to come in and browse and ask questions,” Greenleaf said.
