Flood Control… State Senator Stewart J. Community Night 2010 Senator Greenleaf once again hosted a Community Night for the constituents of the 12th District in Lukens Park, Horsham Township.  Nearly 1,500 people gathered to take advantage of the vendors from various state agencies and community organizations and the services offered through the Senator’s district office. June 3, 2010 - Senator Greenleaf helped secure $54,000 in funding to assist Artman Lutheran Home in Ambler, PA install solar panels that will heat a significant portion of the facility’s hot water.  With the Senator is Luanne Fisher, President and CEO of Liberty Lutheran Services.

May 21, 2010 - Senator Greenleaf, along with Pennsylvania Secretary of Aging John Hall, spoke during a celebration held for Centenarians, those 100 years of age or older, at Brittany Points Estates in Lansdale.  The event was sponsored by ACTS Retirement-Life Communities and Montgomery County Aging and Adult Services, among other organizations.

May 6, 2010—Members of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation presented Senator Greenleaf with an award at his district office in Willow Grove for his support of HB 620, The Hemophilia Standards of Care Act.  The Pennsylvania Senate also adopted a resolution sponsored by Greenleaf designating April as Hemophilia Awareness Month in Pennsylvania.

Flood Prevention… Senator Greenleaf and Upper Dublin Township Officials review plans for a long awaited flood prevention project along a tributary to Sandy Run near the Abington Township boundary.  Funded through a Capital Budget Grant sponsored by Greenleaf, construction will begin later this year on a concrete channel to prevent flooding of roadways and residential property.
