September/October 2008
– On this month’s program, residents from
throughout the 12th Senatorial District attend Senator
Greenleaf’s annual Community Night at Lukens Park in Horsham, PA. A
number of local organizations and state agencies were present during
the event to provide visitors with information and services, and a
variety of activities were available for children.

July/August 2008 - This month's program features Senator Stewart
Greenleaf's 15 year crusade for a statewide smoking ban.

May 2008 - On this month's program Senator Stewart Greenleaf finds
out first hand how legislation he sponsored to create an alternative
punishment program for substance abuse offenders is working at one state
prison.

March 2008 - On this month's program, Senator Greenleaf discusses
his statewide smoking ban legislation with Representative Kate Harper.

September 17, 2008 - Senator Greenleaf speaks on the Senate
floor in support of legislation to reduce overcrowding in state
prisons by expanding rehabilitation programs for non-violent
inmates addicted to drugs and alcohol.

September 17, 2008 - Senator Greenleaf speaks on the Senate
floor in support of legislation for the care of geriatric and
terminally ill inmates.

September 16, 2008 - Senator Greenleaf talks with national
animal advocate Jana Kohl during the Stop Puppy Mills Rally at
the State Capitol in Harrisburg. Kohl is the daughter of the
founder of Kohl’s Department store and author of the best
selling book, "A Rare Breed of Love". She is doing a cross
country bus tour raising awareness of the abuse of puppy mills.
Pennsylvania has long had the reputation as the Puppy Mill
Capital of the East coast. Ms. Kohl hailed Senator Stewart
Greenleaf as a Champion for his 15 year fight for humane
treatment of animals in Pennsylvania.

June 13, 2008 – After 15 years of championing
the legislation to ban smoking in Pennsylvania, Senator Stewart
Greenleaf (R-Montgomery) joined health advocates, cancer
fighting organizations and a packed audience at the Ambler
Theatre at a bill signing ceremony for the Clean Indoor Air Act,
which the senator sponsored. The legislation makes Pennsylvania
the 33rd state to enact a comprehensive smoking ban that
prohibits smoking in most public places and workplaces.
